Very few things in life will get me up at the unseemly hour of 4am and never in a zillion years would I have expected snapping photos of flowers to enter into that very short and limited list.
Perhaps it is this getting older thing, but I find myself wandering for hours in the hills of the Wasatch completely enamored by all the colors sprouting between the rocks. I take no less than 500 photos and once home try to identify each one in my nifty Wasatch Wildflower guide.
On one particular lovely morning, Wednesday July 22, 2015, I wandered around Alta’s Albion Basin at sunrise and captured the photos below. I am pretty sure the flowers were at their peak!
