Best versatile, comfortable, and cute travel dresses.
What is a travel dress exactly? They are dresses that you can keep rolled up in a ball at the bottom of your pack, fluff up with a few shakes, and look fabulous in! The best travel dresses wash easily, dry quickly, and are wrinkle-resistant. Look for dresses made from moisture-wicking fabrics for extra comfort and eco-friendly fabrics for ease of conscience.
Patagonia Sleeveless Seabrook Dress
The Patagonia Seabrook Dress gets my vote for best travel dress. The soft and stretchy jersey-knit fabric wicks moisture nicely and dries super quickly. Simple faux wrap styling at the back shoulders dresses it up a bit and the sleeveless style makes this dress compatible with most bra straps.
This dress is simple, super comfy, and available in several Earthy colors plus it is made from mostly recycled materials. If you love the fabric, it is also available as the Patagonia Seabrook Skirt. The virtually wrinkle-free fabric will make any traveler happy and the touch of spandex allows for plenty of stretch.

Toad&Co Rosalinda Dress
I am wearing this dress as I type and it is the kind of dress you want in every color. Seriously I have it in 3 colors and I just ordered a 4th, is that too much? Toad says the dress has great “work–to–play adaptability” and I couldn’t agree more. The Rosalinda is seriously my go to work uniform and it is versatile enough for a post-work BBQ and Frisbee session as well.
The Toad&Co Rosalinda Dress is made from a blend of Toad’s eco-friendly Tencel fabric along with super soft organic cotton and a dash of spandex. This A-line dress flows from the V-neck top with horizontal bust pleats to the knee-skimming hem creating a super flattering fit. The fit hugs a little around the bust and waist, but flairs out slightly towards the bottom.
Seriously available in a zillion colors and patterns, the Rosalinda dress is my favorite travel and work companion. This dress traveled excellent rolled up in a packing cube during my European travels last summer. The Rosalinda dress looks cute and casual with a pair of flip-flops and dresses up nicely with boots in the winter. Totally comfy and super versatile you can’t really go wrong with one or even two!

Prana Quinn Dress
Prana dresses are designed for adventure. Made from recycled polyester, the Prana Quinn is a great choice for travelers looking to reduce their environmental footprint. The recycled polyester blend is soft and the little bit of spandex tossed gives the Prana Quinn plenty of stretch for movement making the dress not only great for wandering around town, but also great for light hikes and dancing.
The Prana Quinn has a scoop-neck design and a fun double-strap racer back. A built-in shelf bra provides some light support and the fit typically falls just below the knee.
The Quinn is available in lots of fun colors and designs and you can often find great deals on last year’s styles on sites like Amazon and Backcountry.
