ExOfficio Give-N-Go Lacey Travel Thong Review

September 8, 2014 by Amiee

I like to test out travel clothing by wearing it for as many days in a row as possible (see Oiselle Winona Tank review) so you can only imagine what I put these thongs through during my nine day trip from Utah to Wisconsin to California back to Utah.

First things first, why does one even need travel underwear? Cotton underwear is just fine for everyday life, but cotton undies can get quite uncomfortable during extended trips since they retain moisture and take forever to dry. Specially designed quick drying travel underwear is lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking so they keep you dry and comfy on the road. Plus specially designed travel underwear dry quickly after sink washes, river dunking, you name it – so you can get away with only packing a few pair per trip.

ExOfficio Travel ThongsQuick drying travel underwear does not have to be un-sexy! Exofficio’s Give-N-Go Lacey Travel Thongs are revolutionizing the travel undies market.

ExOfficio pretty much invented travel underwear with their clever slogan – 17 countries. 6 weeks. One pair of award-winning underwear. (Ok, maybe two.) –  and the Exofficio lacey thongs held up to my test!

The ExOfficio Give-N-Go Travel Thongs dried completely in less than 2 hours after hanging them out to dry and I am guessing they would dry even quicker in the sun. I live in a dry, desert climate so the drying time may be slower in more humid climates. There is not a lot of material so I am sure they would dry overnight after a sink wash no matter where you find yourself.

The thongs were comfy, seemed to resist odors, and stayed mostly dry in sweaty conditions. I could do without all the lace, but that is just personal preference. All in all a great option for thong-loving travelers, plus they only weigh 2 ounces and scrunch up smaller than a scrunchie so you can easily pack a few for your travels.

The Details:

  • Feminine fit – not your Grandma’s travel underwear!
  • Treated with Aegis Microbe Shield to control odors and keep you feeling fresh
  • Nylon/Spandex blend is extremely quick-drying and breathable
  • Stretchy for ease of movement
  • Weigh only half an ounce!
  • Great for backpacking, camping, traveling, sports, and everyday life
  • Available in all sorts of colors

Where Can I Find ExOfficio Travel Thongs?

  • Amazon
  • REI
  • Backcountry
