Toad & Co Women’s Chaka Skirt Review

May 3, 2013 by Amiee

Super soft, flattering, and comfy women’s eco-friendly travel skirt.

In my quest for functional yet flattering travel clothing, I stumbled upon the Toad & Co (formerly known as Horny Toad) Chaka Skirt on the REI rack and now I own THREE! One in Clove, Lapis, and Hyacinth and I want more! Excessive I know, but when you find a skirt this comfy and versatile you just need to buy it in every color.

The Chaka Skirt is made from Toad & Co’s Samba material which is a blend of Tencel and organic cotton and it feels so soft and cozy! A tiny bit of spandex gives a little stretch, yet it doesn’t cling one bit. The extra stretch offers plenty of room for movement so the skirt is great for hiking, running up the Spanish Steps, or playing Frisbee in the park. The wide waistband is oh so flattering and there is a stash pocket in the waist band that I didn’t even know existed until researching for this post. It is that secret!

The Toad & Co Chaka skirt is one of the best travel skirts around and it gets high rankings for both comfort and cuteness. It dresses up great with a nice top for work or a night out, yet looks casual enough with a tank and flops for a romp around town. Made from eco-friendly organic cotton, the Chaka is one of the few eco-friendly travel clothing items on the market. The Chaka stayed wrinkle-free rolled up in a travel cube during my travels around France last summer and I have gotten multiple compliments on the skirt at the office this Spring.

The Details:

  • Material is 48% Tencel® / 48% organic cotton / 4% spandex
  • Eco-friendly travel clothing
  • Wide, elasticized waistband
  • 21″ length
  • A-line silhouette
  • Original Price ~ $58

Where can I find the Toad & Co Chaka Skirt?

Almost anywhere!

  • REI
  • Backcountry.com
  • Amazon
  • And directly from Toad and Co’s Website
