- Re-charged in the Tetons this weekend, thanks to Terry Tempest Williams’s The Hour of Land I recently finished, which inspired me to explore the park in winter.
- One of my ultrarunning heroes, Rickey Gates, began his self-supported journey across the country last week. He’s imposed a $1,000 budget/month for 5 months, which will cover food, but not a heck of a lot more. His journey includes traveling across parts of the Appalachian, Colorado, and Kokopelli Trails as well as canoeing part of the Tennessee River and rafting the Colorado. Although he won’t be carrying any GPS or trackers, it will be fun to follow along via his Instagram.
- Speaking of Rickey Gates, desert season is upon us. Watch The Canyon for a little desert stoke!
- This Brenden Leonard guy has been offering up one swift kick in the ass after another, Living Life Takes More Than a Credit Card.
- Note to self, next trip to Death Valley go here.
