Oiselle Roga Running Shorts Review

June 25, 2014 by Amiee

Oiselle Roga Shorts

I hate running shorts! I detest the scratchy materials, the typical frumpy, boxy look, and the butt riding liners characteristic of most running shorts. So saying I was thrilled with the Oiselle Roga’s comfy material, flattering fit, and non-butt riding up liner would be a HUGE understatement!

Having ran solely in my beloved Patagonia all purpose shorts from five years back (which they no longer make boo), I was psyched to finally find a pair of running shorts to throw into the rotation. I was hoping to prolong the life of said favorite shorts and wound up with an entirely new pair of favorite running shorts – the Oiselle Roga Running Shorts.

Roga Shorts with the Winona Tank

The Oiselle Roga shorts are super flattering – it must be the wide yoga style waistband with drawstring – NO BUNCHY ELASTIC FIT HERE! I love the way they look and feel.

The Roga’s are lightweight and wick moisture nicely so they keep you cool and comfy during the run and dry fast after post-run river soaks. I would even go as far to say that the Rogas would make for excellent board shorts at the lake. The liner is soft and comfy and doesn’t ride up like other shorts I have tried. It literally feels like I’m wearing nothing, the same feeling I had when trying out the Oiselle Winona Tank which pairs nicely with the Roga shorts.

I am happy with the 4″ inseam, but Oiselle also offers the shorts in long (6″ inseam) and a super short (1.75″ inseam). The small fit my 5’2″ 110-pound frame perfectly. I went with the bright orange, but I pretty much want to collect the shorts in all colors.

Oiselle Roga Shorts Colors

Roga’s in so many colors!

If I have to complain about something, I would say that the Roga shorts wrinkle easily, but that is just a side effect of the short’s lightweight thin material and they are running shorts so who cares if they wrinkle!

Between the Roga Running Shorts and the Winona Running Tank, I am thoroughly impressed with Oiselle products and I am looking forward to trying out more items. I have my eye on their Flyte Longsleeve – super cute!

The Details:

  • Flattering yoga style waistband
  • Technical liner with front stash pocket
  • Back zip pocket large enough for a Gu, chapstick, and key
  • 4″ inseam
  • 74% polyerster/26% spandex blend with plenty of stretch
  • Wicks moisture and dries super quick
  • Available in several cute colors
  • Also available in long (6″ inseam), and shorty short (1.75″ inseam)

Where to Buy Oiselle Shorts:

  • Amazon
  • Oiselle Website
