I’m obsessed with headbands! Mostly because my naturally curly hair frizzes at the hairline and the wispy little buggers drive me nuts-o if they’re not controlled while I’m running or doing practically anything.
Buff headbands have been my go to travel headband (and let’s be honest I skied/ran this morning and didn’t have time to wash my hair office headband) for years, but sometimes you need a bit more warmth. I got an adorable Skida headband from one of my besties for Christmas who saw them on Patagonia’s supermodel ski phenom Caroline Gleich’s Instagram (see Instagram influencers work!) and I love it!
Skida headbands come in both Nordic (lightweight and breathable) and Alpine (mid-weight for warmth) depending on your activity’s needs. I’ve used the Nordic headband all winter while trail running, Nordic skiing, and ski touring and am thrilled with its warmth and comfort. The Skida headband is super soft, comfy, and stays put on the ears for plenty of warmth. It is thin enough to wear under a helmet, yet warm enough to wear down to the teens no problem.
Available in so many cute designs and colors, a Skida headband (or two) would make an excellent gift (like it did for me!) for any outdoor girl (and boy too). Skida products are also easy on the eco-conscience. Skida’s Vermont Collection is made locally by a group of seamstresses from their very own homes just a few hours from Skida headquarters in Burlington, Vermont. Yay headbands!
