Overland Equipment makes the cutest bags for traveling with zillions of pockets and organizing compartments. The Bayliss Shoulder Bag is my absolute favorite and is hugely on sale now at REI – $19.73 marked down from $50 so I’m picking up a spare.
Sadly it looks like the company may be done with since their website says they are currently refreshing and reinventing their line or products and will be back soon, but they haven’t updated any of their social media sites in a year. Sad.
I’ve had my Overland Bayliss for over four years and it seriously still looks like new. There are three entirely separate compartments that hold all your daily essentials. The zippered main compartment is large enough for your wallet, notepad, checkbook, and plenty of snacks. The zippered middle pocked features two fleece-lined pockets great for cell phone and sunglasses we well as several slitted pockets great for organizing coupons or credit cards and a pocket perfect for passports.
My favorite feature is the external organizer pocket which has a magnetic closure so it is perfect for easy access items like pens, keys, and poop bags. The magnets are very strong so it stays closed, yet is easily opened. There’s also a slightly hidden zippered pocket great for stashing cash.
The 1-inch webbing type strap is fully adjustable so you can wear the bag across your body, over your shoulder, or rig it up around your waist. The Overland Equipment Bayliss Bag is available in a huge selection of colors. All in all a cute and durable and super functional bag for travel.
